Programme

Inclusive Education

We support the student, the teacher and the school together, so that the school place actually holds.

Most drop-outs happen not because a student cannot learn, but because the school was never prepared to receive them. The programme works on both sides: preparing the student with academic and social skills, and training school staff on classroom accommodations and the individual education plan.

The programme includes in-class shadow support where needed, accessible learning materials, and coordination with the education directorate so that accommodations carry over from one academic year to the next.

What a beneficiary leaves with

  • An individual education plan endorsed by the school
  • School staff trained in classroom accommodations
  • Continued enrolment and reduced drop-out

How to join

  1. A support request from the family or directly from the school
  2. A site visit to assess the classroom environment
  3. Drafting the plan and agreeing each party’s role
